Make a difference in the lives of parents and their newborn children: Be a Sponsor of the Begin with the Children Project at your local birthing center. Three findings from the $25 million "Fragile Family and Child Well Being Study" conducted by Princeton and Columbia Universities support the importance of parents making important parenting decisions during the magic moment following birth:

The 48 hours following birth are a "Magic Moment" for parents.

During the Magic Moment, parents are receptive to making meaningful and lasting parenting decisions.

The hospital birthing center is the ideal place to intercept parents of newborns.

Children enter the world innocent, loving, caring, and trusting. They are cute, small, brand new, and totally helpless. Each child's life has this same starting point, regardless of outside circumstances. The moment a child is born is the real starting point for parenting! As a Sponsor, you can help get parents started on a good parenting path, benefitting the community as you help change the lives of individual families.

What the Foundation Provides the Sponsor:

Exclusive license to sponsor the Project at the birthing center selected, including the right to use the Foundation's trademarks, copyrights, and other proprietary materials pertaining to the Project.
Newborn Parenting Kits and accompanying materials
Newborn Project Training
Recommended format and agenda for the press conference launching the Project
Suggested press release at Project launch
PSA Announcements
Ongoing consultation
Project updates as they occur
Annual report on the level of participation, demographics, and feedback reception of parents participating in the Project.

NOTE: All personal data remains confidential. Information provided in the annual report will not include names or other personal data of any parents or children receiving Parenting Kits.

Sponsor Qualifications:

A Sponsor must have the financial capacity to acquire and maintain the supply of Begin with the Children Newborn Parenting Kits required by the birthing center selected.
A Sponsor must be licensed by World Peace Parents Foundation. The initial license fee is $1,000.00 for the first year. The Foundation has learned that a Sponsor must have some "skin in the game" for the Project to be successful. The license may be renewed annually for $100.
The Sponsor must agree the Begin with the Children Project will be organized as a nonpolitical, nonprofit and nondenominational community service project. A Sponsor may be an individual and/or an organization.

Sponsor Responsibilities:

Fund the Project. Generally, the cost for the initial year is $4,000 to $6,000, depending on the size of the birthing center selected. After the initial supply of Parenting Kits is exhausted, subsequent funding requirements depend on the number of live births at the birthing center selected.
Gain the approval of the birthing center management.
Train the hospital volunteers or personnel.
Monitor the Project's administration and submit a short quarterly report.
If requested by birthing center management, recruit and train volunteers to help administer the Project.
